How It Works

eStork makes a great human interest story and virtually all forms of news media are excited to publish it.  The following is a compendium of ideas that have been in getting the word out about eStork.  Please use them when and where you can and feel free to post your own ideas and successes on the main blog.  They will be added to this page for others to use.

Contact your base’s public relations staff and find out what base-specific media outlets are available.  Fort Stewart, the Rock of the Marne, has Marne TV, an information channel on the local cable provider, and Frontline, a free newspaper published weekly and distributed in and around the base.  Both have run stories about the eStork program to help get the word out about us.

Contact your local newpapers and ask if they will interview you and some eStork clients and let you tell their readers about eStork and your participation in the program.

Contact your local television news person(s) that do stories about good things happening in your community and ask if they would interview you and an eStork client, and film an actual eStork session for the news story.  This tactic has put eStork on the local ABC, CBS, and Fox news broadcasts, and on CNN.

We are members of the local Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber publishes a weekly newsletter that members can advertise in for free.  It has been a useful avenue for advertising all sorts of things for our studio, including eStork.

City magazines (Savannah Magazine, Richmond Hill Magazine, Bryan and it’s Coast are examples from our area) are always looking for stories about the activities of their residents and readers.  If you have one in your area, contact the editor and ask if they would like to tell your story.  Two of the magazines mentioned here have published articles about eStork.

Contact your base command and let them know about the program.  They are usually happy to disseminate information that will help their soldier’s families.
